Reverse Mounting and Copulation Behavior in Polyandrous Bearded Vulture (Gypaetus barbatus) Trios

It’s a beautiful late Summer day here in Western Wisconsin. I have a to do list about two yards long. I have a couple of great motorcycles and live on the edge of the great driving roads around here. I have a book that needs just a few days’ work and it’s done.

However, I’m skulking around the interwebs, trying to find out more about birds who swoop down in front of my car. It’s such a heroic and futile protection maneuver. I want to use that image or symbol or something for my book title or at least to get it off my list of niggling thoughts.

If you go poking around in Google Scholar, you’ll find a hive of strange little people, studying strange little things. I’m thrilled to know they’re out there, combing the world for reasons.
